About Letterkenny Chamber
LETTERKENNY, probably the best
known town in Donegal, is certainly the county's largest urban area.
With a population of 15,000 within the town, and a further catchment
area of 30,000 people, it is by far the most important commercial area
of Donegal, with large stores competing with the high street multiples
for the lion's share of business in the town, and a number of quality
companies having chosen to settle in the immediate region.
Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the voice of these
businesses.
Essentially the
Letterkenny Chamber represents the interests of member firms in the
Letterkenny and surrounding areas. It communicates with state agencies,
local and regional authorities on the matters of trade, industry,
commerce and tourism. It lobbies Government at local and national level
on a wide range of important business issues.
The Chamber provides networking opportunities, training and business
guidance for local companies and strives to create the best environment
for local business to succeed.
As an affiliated member of Chambers Ireland, Letterkenny Chamber
provides input into national and regional lobbying policies of
government. Chambers Ireland has 60 affiliated Chamber members
nationwide and represents the interests of 13,000 businesses and is
Ireland's largest business network.
