Magee Weaving has been involved in making Donegal Tweed since 1866. The company, based in County Donegal in Ireland, is a design-led, fast-response, developmental mill with the most up-to-date rapier looms and its own cloth finishing plant. The company has successfully developed into one of the leading suppliers of fabric to top fashion brands in menswear and womenswear.

Magee Clothing produces a wide range of menswear and  also a small range of classic womenswear. In both, fabric quality, excellent tailoring and a refined way with colour are the trademarks. The collections include suits, trousers, jackets and coats for casual, business and outdoor wear. Magee also offer formal morning dress and eveningwear.

Founded in Donegal Town in 1866, the original Magee store has developed from a small draper’s shop to a highly regarded clothing store. Always one of Donegal’s most important  tourist attractions and famous for its hand-woven tweeds, Magee has also kept abreast of fashionable trends with the launch of a new Casual Collection in addition to stocking other leading brands.  The giftware department of the store specialises in authentic Irish gifts including Irish Linens, Newbridge,  Waterford Crystal, Nicholas Mosse and Bellek Living.

The famous tweed, traditionally produced by hand in the cottages around Donegal has patterns and colours inspired by the Irish landscape. While modernisation over the years has resulted in an alternation in the production and design techniques, the colours and inspiration of the cloth remains essentially the same.
